Impressionism Painting

In class, we did a painting on impressionism. Impressionism became famous with Claude Monet. He made wonderful paintings that everyone wanted to see. Our project was to do the same and make an impressionism painting. We chose landscapes out of magazines and started painting. We used dabs of paint and if we wanted to mix colors we would put two dabs of paint that were different colors very close together. The closer you look in an impressionism painting the more you can see the dabs of color stuck together but if you look at it from a distance it looks realistic and it doesn't seem like you put dabs of color together. Impressionism is a nice way to make a painting. And that's why we did it in class.

Upside Down Painting

In class we did a project where we had to draw something in columns but we didn't know what it was. When Ms. Bammi showed us the first column and told us to draw it we did. Each column was filled with lines. Lines that bent, twisted and turned. Half way through some people started to pick up that it was an upside down man. This drawing was made by Picasso. After people started seeing it they just continued with the lines. Unfortunately, when it was more visible people started to try drawing the man instead of following the lines. Including me. And it ended with the man having a black head and white body. I was disappointed and I learned that if you see the man in the upside down drawing continue to follow the lines. It will make your picture look absolutely amazing.
